Title:Maintenance Electrician – Industrial
Cargill is currently accepting applications for Maintenance Electricians at our beef processing facility in High River, Alberta. Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Shift, Overtime, Weekend, Day, Night, Evening.
Journeyman Pay Rate: $31.60hr
Credentials: Industrial Electrician Trade Certification, 3rd year apprentice, 4th year apprentice, Industrial Electrician Red Seal Certificate.
Skill Requirements:
Experience: Experience an asset.
Major Work Area: Industrial Installation, Maintenance, Repair, Service, Troubleshooting/Diagnostic
Area of Specialization: Power generating and distribution systems, Low-voltage distribution systems, Microprocessor based systems, Climatic control systems, Emergency power and stand-by systems, Robotics systems
Type of Equipment: Programmable logic controls, Motors and controls, Transformers, Instrumentation, Switchgears, Industrial storage batteries, Lighting fixtures, PLC (programmable logic controls)
Specific Skills: Install, examine, replace or repair electrical components, Test equipment and components for current, continuity and voltage. Maintain, repair and test switchgears, transformers and regulators. Maintain, repair and test motors, generators and control systems. Troubleshoot industrial control systems and devices. Interpret electrical code specifications.
Additional Skills: Read blueprints, schemas and drawings. Conduct preventive maintenance programs, keep maintenance records, instruct apprentices.
Essential Skills: Reading text, document use, numeracy, writing, oral communication, working with others, problem solving, decision making, critical thinking, job task planning and organizing, significant use of memory, finding information, computer use, continuous learning.
Other: Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada. Possibility of instrumentation/controls/PLC training for the right candidate. Millwright experience a definite asset.
