Cargill Beef, High River has opportunities for Automation / Electrical / Instrumentation Maintenance Supervisor. This position is responsible for the supervision and direction of the staffing of the plant electrical / automation maintenance of the facility.

This is management positions requiring individual with the desire to be part of a dynamic team that works together in a cooperative atmosphere to be the best. The AEI Supervisor will answer directly to the Electrical Maintenance Superintendent. The successful candidates will direct the electrical / automation staff within the guidelines of the collective agreement.

They will schedule through the Maximo work-flow system and maintain budget spending. The AEI Supervisor will be responsible to review, monitor and follow-up on work assignments, develop relationships, coach, train, recognize and maintain needs for the electrical/automation staff. Responsibilities will include development of a one team concept within the electrical/automation areas and a synergistic approach to accomplish repairs.

The successful candidates will be responsible for adherence to all electrical codes, the administration of safe work practices and safe conditions of the electrical functions and equipment in the plant.

Qualifications
Credentials: One of the following: Journeyman Electrician, Journeyman Instrument Technician, Rockwell Certified Field Engineer, PLC Programming Certificate or Diploma, hands on experience may be accepted in lieu.
Experience: Maintenance leadership in industrial or production facility settings. Electrical / Instrumentation troubleshooting. Management, design, execution, and commissioning of PLC / Automation / instrumentation projects.
Experience Required: 5 to 7 years
Education Required: Associate Degree


Major Work Area: Providing leadership and expertise for programming, design, troubleshooting, and repair of complex automated manufacturing systems composed of Rockwell PLCs, Plant PCs, SCADA systems, industrial networks, and instrument devices

Specific Skills: Ability to conceptualize automated processes from a system level and then apply troubleshooting paradigms to that system. Analytical approach to root-cause analysis.

Essential Skills: Critical thinking, strong analytical and problem-solving skills are a must

Salary Range: $72,000 to $82,000/year
