As the Semiconductor Insights team grows we seek to add a Software Testing and Support Specialist. In this multi-dimensional role you will have the opportunity to exercise both your software testing aptitudes and your software application support experience by working with a number of internal Electronic Design Automation (EDA) style software applications that are the backbone to supporting our clients’ intellectual property. As a Software Testing and Support Specialist and member of Semiconductor Insights' Software R&D Group in Ottawa (Kanata), Ontario you will forge ahead testing and supporting electronic design related software applications. Your expertise with testing activities including requirements gathering, test plan creation and execution, and on-going user and developer support will serve as the foundation to your success and advancement within SI and the larger TechInsights team. Your polished communication skills will be essential as you work with internal teams of software developers using Visual C++ and .NET technologies. Additional knowledge and experience with basic scripting languages and automated test platforms will elevate your candidacy. While not required, previous experience with databases and basic networking knowledge will place you atop the list of candidates for this highly sought after role.
